Default 1974 Series III 109 stationwagon - SOLD

    For sale
74 Land Rover Series III 109 Station Wagon
    LHD 2.6 6/cyl

For sale is the culmination of a four year obsessed restoration. Started out with a euro (Swiss spec) truck showing 32k (approx 27’000 miles) and took it down to the chassis.. The body was disassembled (rivets drilled out), stripped down to the bare alloy, door skins removed to where all the metal parts were epoxy painted, door frames, bulkhead and such…….The body was then painted in pieces its original light green / limestone and reassembled.

The motor was totally rebuilt, new LR genuine brake pads & cylinders/reservoir installed, new brake lines, wheel bearings, races, new leaf springs, shocks, new seals, gaskets throughout. Fuel tank, radiator, heater core cleaned and fuel tank sealed, new wiring harnesses, most anything I could think of to do as recreate a like new series rover with a bit of accessory kit.

The general theme being in the restoration was to put it back together using genuine land rover parts where I could and with the added care not possible in assembly line construction.

The original frame has been hot dipped galvanized / It’s has also been painted as to match original appearance.
“All” the galvanized parts were re-dipped

    Added genuine land rover accessories
    Fairey free wheeling hubs
    Fairey overdrive
    Light guards front / rear
    Front bumper overriders
    Exterior visor
    Fold-down side steps
    Front mud flaps

    accessories
    Mantek rear swing-away tyre carrier
    Full length Brownchurch roof-rack
Tuffy cubby box with AM/FM,CD player
    Rear mounted work lamp

*Note a IIa grill has been fitted / The original plastic grill, centre front seat are stored and go with the truck along with some other assorted accumulated bits one acquires in owning a series rover.
