    Default Solenoid Location Series2a

I'm installing a Lucas Solenoid between the starter switch and starter. I was hoping someone could tell me where the factory location or placement was? Was it somewhere on the bulkhead, or battery/air cleaner bracket.

If anyone has a photo they can share I would appreciate it.

The IIa starter solenoid was bolted to the bulkhead. I'll get a pic tonight from my 1970 IIa and send it on.

    Thank you Les.

Just out of curiosity, did early series 2 or 2a's have solenoids?

Or was it added to the later 2a's and Series 3 only.
