It was more for comfort than anything else. As a large mammal, I want as much arm room as possible, the sliders were too constrictive. I hated taking off the tops and storing them. The new over head console by tuffy with the 2 drop down compartments goes in today. front one will house the radio with flat screen pull out, the rear one has my cb with weather channels already. It's kinda bling but I saw a guy using the flat screen for nav and I thought it was a great idea.

Yes... pics to follow.

Here is the off side new roll up door , the new Rovers North Rock Sliders and the dreaded chrome rims.... soon to be black or od green, ( anything but shiny chrome) and a nifty heavy duty aerial for the radio

Tuffy box but out of the way and useful. I also got the arm rest style as the new radio has a flat screen and needs more room than the drop down could give..
I know I'm a hack and a heretic but it's my little rover and I had to get the monitor.... how else was I going to use the output from the back up camera?

Dreaded chrome can be painted any color you like. Just don't toss them for any silly reason or you'll be out of wheels. ;)

Your truck seems to be coming along great! Keep it up.

There is something to be said for a truck in which the door from a current model fits the body of anything from 59 onward.

As for roll up windows....passing trend.;)
