I am the new owner owner of a 95 LWB. The truck was assaulted electrically by at least one of the previous 3 owners.
1. Would a fuel gauge, which appears always on, kill my batter in afew hours?
2. If you had a Viper remote start/alarm system on your truck what would you do?
a. Try to get it working.
b. Pull it off and throw it in the trash.

AOG,

1: No, not enough draw to drain battery after a few hours.
2: Round file the Viper.

To find the draw use a test light between the battery and cable. Pull fuses individually until draw is gone [light will go out]. Lastly, determine what is making the draw. Remember there is battery power to both the clock and the radio for memory retention (obviously, neither of these would cause a significant draw to drain the battery in a few hours).

Happy hunting,
