Hello,
Planning on working on my rover.Does anyone has experience importing a chassis from Designa Chassis? I tried contacting via e-mail but got no response for shipping to US. Thanks.
Do you not like the chassis Rovers North have? You'd just have to import it from Vermont and they're galvanized.

I bought my galvy chassis from RN 14 years ago now. It's been great and was easy enough to fit. If I were to do it again, I'd look for a coil chassis though.....

Designa Chassis make good products from what I have heard second hand through others who have purchased from them. They are the only option I know of for an off the shelf coil chassis for a series vehicle. If you want to make a defender chassis fit you can get one from RN or you can get a stock leafer from RN as well. East Coast Rovers advertises a coil conversion but they also say they have to do it in shop.

The last I know East Coast has placed series work on the back burner--seeing more profit in later models.Anyway, their prices would not be affordable. The reason I considered the coiler is considering transportation fees,it may not be too much more expensive compared to the leaf spring, about $1,685.30 USD plus 1000.00 transport. Then for less than 500 the other suspension parts. Total about $3000.00

did you get a shipping quote with all the customs fees? $1000 sounds pretty cheap....but I've only seen the prices for an entire shipping container.
