LHD Steering Column

I have a LHD column here. Appears to be in good working order, however, I have not tested it.

Can anyone tell me if this is for a specific year? And more importantly, does anyone know how to take out the play in steering by adjusting the column? I have about 20 degrees of play in my RHD...

Maybe I could take this one apart and learn how they work before I attempt to mess with the one on my '88!
