Hi All,
I have two questions:
1) I have a 1983 109" Series III with the 5 bearing 2.25L petrol engine and a weber carb. Which distributor is this? Picture attached.
2) Has anyone installed a Pentronix replacement distributor on this setup? If so what was the specific model number? Where did you order it?
Sincerely,
Chris

Hi,
Was the DUCELLIER original or an aftermarket distributor? Trying to decipher what I have and where to go.

Hi, I have a petronix on my 109 for at least five years. Best thing I ever did. timco3
2.25 3main new engine. 3k miles ago. Purrs wicked.
You will read negative comments about Ducelliers on this forum. My experience with it (so far) has been very positive.
IIRC later Series 3's had the Ducellier as standard.

I used the complete petronix drop-in model, go to the petronix catalog and cross reference the lucas or other dizzy and petronix will give you the proper model. also get the flamethrower coil that is made for this dizzy, it really helps. there are quite a few vendors out there to buy from. if you are a somewhat "purist" and want to give the impression the dizzy is era specific, get the drop in kit. our hosts can hook you up. look on terri-ann's website and it will give you all the info.:thumb-up:
