I have one of the RN catalogs that has a convenient little paint code chart in it...only now I can't seem to find the damn thing. Anyone got the PPG paint code for the light blue color...as seen faded here:

:thumb-up: fantastic. thanks for the speedy reply. Getting my brand new rad support and good used/repaired bulkhead painted soon. Contemplating doing the fenders, bonnet, and doors.

Is there any reason to use one supplier over another on these paint codes??

I will be redoing mine in pastel green. Just a single stage paint job.....not too expensive as it's being driven in the mud, snow, etc!!!

Cheers,
Julian

different price points, different levels of durability, different levels of quality. I had a friend paint my bulkhead using the slightly less fancy version of the available paint...i forget the brand...looks great. If you are going for show truck then you might go with the fancy high gloss paint etc.

Also shades will differ slightly but if its not supposed to be a show room replica for then a slightly different shade wont matter.

mongo-

Durability-would be good as it's being driven in inclement weather

Gloss-it's just my preference that the truck not be overly glossy

Shades-well it will be painted all at once with the same paint, so that shouldn't be an issue......will be rhino coated in the tub area

Any further insight appreciated. Will give one of these codes to my painter.

I would just talk to the person who will be doing the paint work and see if what they recommend for paint brand. My friend had a couple of suggestions based on price and durability.

It doesnt show a PPG code above, but they should be able to cross-reference it.

I found this code on another site: 74440 CMK...Cant confirm if its accurate though.

So my truck is in for paint......single stage as mentioned below in the pastel green per the codes provided.

According to my painter, at the 2 paint shops in town they are having trouble sourcing these codes in single stage?!

Has anyone had a similar problem.....please advise with any tips. I didn't think this would be a big issue. Supposedly, they've mixed something up close and he wants me to look at it, but I'd rather go with the straight makeup of one of the codes provided, for future touch ups, etc....

Thanks,
Julian
