I have a Defender enroute to home, and currently have 4 vehicles with only 4 covered spots - so a problem to solve...

I have recently finished a fair amount of restore work on a Series III Lightweight (RHD) ex-MOD 24V, been in the US only a couple years. I am thinking of posting on ebay soon, and dropping a heads-up here for anyone specifically looking for a Lightweight. I am clearly not looking to 'give it away' , as I put alot into it - stripped down to bare birmabrite, repainted, bead blasted rims & powder coated black, new electrics/lights, etc - you can see some of the transition on the links below.

http://mikerovers.shutterfly.com/ This sites has some prior and current pics - see the "pictures tab", and select the Ser III

If you know anyone interested, send me a PM or email to mrdoiron@gmail.com , I'll likely post to ebay in the Jan timeframe...still not sure as getting out what I put in always makes that call hard...

PS: if you can't tell from the pic, the hood has "to boldly go" on both sides...

thx

Mike- Where did you end up getting all of the new military lenses?

Good luck with the sale!

Ordered a lot of parts from Rovers North, some from PA Blanchard, but I think I got the Lamp Lenses from LRSeries in UK along with the new 6-way switch - I fried the original one when messing with the rear license plate light as you may recall... so then got the new wire harness work and also "put a fuse in that damn circuit", as well as a battery cut-off switch (tip from you I believe Jeff - to prevent any future mishaps) !

cheers, mike
