    Accelerator Linkage

Looking for answers about the set up of the accelerator linkage for a IIA.

The Land Rover exploded diagrams of the linkage from the accelerator pedal to various levers/springs do not completely match up with what I've got in my late IIA. Both rods in those diagrams are straight. In my case, I have one straight rod and one 90 degree bent one.

Is that bent one correct for a NAS late IIA? Or did a previous owner bend it? Either because he had a rod that was the wrong spec and used it anyway, or needed to somehow adjust the travel leading to the carb.

    Thanks.

Either bent it to fit OR if it doesn't fit the PO tried to force a rusted linkage and bent it. - at least that is my guess. I may be able to look in the morning at my 65.

Both rods are supposed to be straight.
