Socks, underwear and a belt.

Oh and I think the whole engine crank rebuild and paint job this year kinda counts too, at least my wife says so... I may send myself a highlift from a secret santa.

The loving wife bought me a set of specialized sockets that will remove rounded nuts or bolts. Me throwing wrenches when I am trying to remove bolts with stripped heads seems to have worked, or maybe it was the kid picking up on some of the colorfull words accompaning the wrench throwing hmmmm?:thumb-up:

Got me a new tow strap. After 10 years of loyal service, the old one is done. A new 3"x30' will continue to pull those jeeps :thumb-up:.

On a side note, I made some $$$ a few days ago so I'll have enough to fix my brakes. Get those fixed, the engine sorted out and new weatherstripping and I'll be a happy camper.

I got a bunch of USGS 7.5 minute topo maps & a very nice map case with a viewing window. Also a ladder extension for my rooftop tent. My son got an orange Defender 110 much like Roverform's... he runs around with it saying "wa-wo-wuh" (Land Rover).

If at all possible, I would love to see pics of your stuff. It's fine if it's too much of a pain.

Thanks,

Aaron:

I left the curved part on and my (Genuine) Defender door seals fit fine (if a bit tight).

Give it a try before you start cutting.

also, if you must cut them off don't grind (messy) I used a pair of good tin snips and then sanded the sharp edges - worked fine.

I didn't do anything to the edges - just pushed the seals on. I took one look at the window frame and said forget it - way too strong to mess with, in my view. And as it turned out, unneccessary.

I may have cut a small (2-3") piece off near one of the footwells, but I think it was left over from a PO's bad repair job.

All my Land Rover got this year was a drive from Flagstaff to Texas to visit my sister and hopefully an uneventful drive back sometime next week.

My TR3 made a big haul through. Her hard top is in a shop getting refinished and repainted and her boot lid is getting a rust area fixed and repainted. SHE GOT 3 NEW GAUGES, a new fuel pressure regulator, new fuel pressure gauge, and a new electric fan controller.

My haul was a bit smaller than my TR's haul and more family oriented including a wall collage of current family pictures, clothes and the cutest animated singing Christmas mouse.

Sorry, nothing Land Rover related beyond a pay check.

The wife agreed that new aluminum Rocky Mountain door tops were in order for the Series.

I'm just trying to decide if I should have them painted or if I should leave them raw before mounting them up.

Gotta love a wife that understands the Rover thing (it doesn't hurt that the 2 year old daughter loves playing in the truck).
