Greetings all.

I have begun the journey of trying to find my grandfathers series 2a from the 60's.
Wondering if this is even possible ... I have one old photo of the truck showing the license plate and that's it.. has anybody ever looked for a truck and found it from years ago?? if so what methods did they use ... will try the state first any ideas or data bases out there that I could use would be great!

Would be amazing to find his truck restore it and have his great-grand kids drive to go fishing in:thumb-up:

thanks to all on the board this forum rocks!!

You would have a better chance with the vin #. Time to start going through all those old papers. You maybe able to have your DMV (if they have one) check their old records via his full name and address. Also post the photo and what state it was in when he sold it.
Good Luck!

If your Grandfather's last name was Ewing and it came off an estate down off of Goose Rocks or Biddeford Pool then I have it.

Post all the info you have, including old pictures, VIN, where it was originally purchased, etc.

Post up the photo. I have 15 or so early 60's trucks from Southern Maine out behind the shop.

I am going to get the pic put on disc and then will load, going down to the town office and find out if they kept the registration info somewhere so I can find the VIN.

Will update soon Thanks Guys for the input!:D

Tracked down the man who bought the truck from my grandfather, he sold it to the manager at rockland ford in the 1970's and the man retired and moved to Buxton Maine he is going to try to find the vin so the trail is getting warmer!
