Hello,
This is my first post and I have a Series1 (1951 80") that I am doing a frame up rebuild on at the moment. I am just wondering how many others there are out there.

Kevin,

Not a Series I owner, but am a Series III owner.

Thought I'd let you know there is a 55 or 56 Series I sitting on the lot at the local LR dealer in Colorado Springs. Last year, at a show they hosted, it was $15K....unrestored.

Cheers,
Julian

Hi. I have a 1957 Series One SXF Civil Defence Corps Hardtop. It has seen some hard few years here in the States. I can't say yet if I am going to do a rebuild or not. Right now I am just following wires and getting to know what is what. I have a Series III Lightweight and there seems to be some differences as to how things were done 17 years earlier. When I get him out and running in proper shape, if he still has heart, I may tear him down and start over up from the ground. I'm no mechanic, so this is definately going to be a journey for me! cheers, Bilbo P.S. Ike, I may be getting in touch to see what spares you have.

I've been seriously thinking of finding a SI to tool around in. Nothing too nice but a runner atleast. No top what so ever in the summer, tooling around town is fun!

J.McKelvey, any pics of your 51? Naturally, I am interested.

Looks like its going to be a good project.Your's looks a lot better then mine did when I brought it home.... Wish I could find the pictures.

Let me know if you would like any other pictures. My 80" isn't 100% correct but I could give you some help putting things back together.
