I painted that aluminum ring around my headlights black in 1974 and now everyone is doing it!
I wonder if I was first?

mines like that because i havent gotten around to having the paint scanned. when i do that i'll get some rattle cans mixed up and do the headlight rims, my new multi color bonnet, and the front wing i rolled over on a couple of months ago.

Jim-
Funny....I'm a newbie here, but, if I do some light resto work in the summer on the SIII, I had thought about powdercoating them black too. And I haven't seen yours :D
Actually, I thought about the hinges in black too.....would kind of tie in the black rear bumper and the black brush guard on the front!

Everyone? Hmm, I must have missed the memo, even though my first one had black trim rings (in 1972)which I promptly repainted limestone.
