I'm pretty sure that is "Sand"- DuPont code 38502. Fairly rare color. The only color I remember that is even close is "Mexican Brown", but that is like a baby poop brown. But if I'm wrong someone will quickly say so... anyway here's a good resource.

I've thought it was Sand as well .Somebody had mentioned Desert Tan or Desert Sand, but i've found no such thing while digging in the available sources.
Terry what does ACF mean?

ACF is PPG's color code. Land Rover's code is LRC.004. (used 1959 to 1984, and not to be confused with one they also called SAND in 1999, LRC725) Every paint manufacturer has their own code, but it's good to know the manufacturer's code, for the vehicle year, so they can look it up and match to their own. When you don't have the original Land Rover color code, they can match it if you have any other manufacturer's code. There are over 100 codes for Land Rover paints, but many manufacturers have different codes for the same color. Many of Land Rover's codes were not used of trucks sold to the general public, but for special order. Ever seen Black & Decker Green('99), or Telecom Grey('91)? It gets worse. They had different names for the same color and years it was used. Eastnor Green is the same as Esdale Green, but sold in different markets. Gets confusing.
