I'm contemplating how I want to do my bugeye project. I just got the recent ROVERS magazine and in the A 109" Is Forever has a picture of the truck wiyh the bulkhead left galvanized. The picture is a little small. Does anyone have a vehicle with the galvanized bulkhead like this that can post some pictures. One with faded paint would even be better. I am leaning toward leaving the paint all faded but had to deal with the bulkhead. Should be getting that back soon with all new galvanizing. Want to see what this may look like.
Thanks
Bob

Bob-
Go the the main RN site, then click on "Rovers Magazine" at the top. Click again on the cover page to view in full screen mode. Once in full screen mode you can click again on the page to enlarge even more. The pictures are quite big and high-def. Just what you are looking for.

Thanks Jac04 that gave me a better view of that truck.
I would also like to see one with faded paint if there is one out there.

The 109 featured in that article is ours--well, my wife's technically. I've got a ton of pictures of the whole project and can send some to you if you like. Just PM me.

redmon, thanks but I think by doing what Jac04 recommended showed me what I wanted to see. it looks pretty good with the galvanizing left as is. I would like to see a truck with old faded paint and a galvanized bulkhead.
I'm thinking of doing that, I kind of like the weathered look.
BTW good looking truck.

Not that it really matters, but I really like the look as well.:thumb-up:

Do you have the original of the picture with the dog in the back and the mountain in the background? If so, can you post it here, or send me the larger size?

It says so many things ... I would love to have that as my desktop background picture! :thumb-up:

Ivarra,

I am glad that you liked that picture. I get a kick out of our dog's glowing eyes (which did not show up in the magazine). If you want a larger version of the picture, PM me with your email address. In the meantime, here is a more forum-friendly version.

Here is a recent picture of my bulkhead that was galvanized around 10 years ago. You can see that it has faded nicely over time and there is a stain on the drivers side from the rain water that runs down from the roof.

Todd ,how did you leave the dash interior? Is it painted or galvy? Do you have any interior dash shots?

Hej Sean,
The bulkhead that is exposed inside the landy was just left as is. But the droning from the diesel motor has me on the search for some form of noise deadening. :(

But with that said, here is my dash panel:
