I have seen some really nice one pictured in mags and on our hosts site, but haven't seen where they are sold...

Can somebody point me in the right direction...
The ones that mount on the rear door are what I'm after... Pick and spade mount....

I think the one shown is a Mantec setup. the pics of ones with LR part numbers look different.

I wonder if it's similar to the one shown on TeriAnn's site (http://www.expeditionlandrover.info/G_camelTrophy.htm) which I think, is this setup here:

I got my stuff from rovers north several years ago. I have since acquired the correct oval washer for the pick stud bolt.Very happy. Bil

I used my pictures of the Camel Trophy Defenders to help me decide where to mount my pick and shovel.

The kit on my truck came from Mantec. I was visiting the owners back in '96, bought a snorkel from them and they gave me a set of mounting brackets.

I have my shovel mounted on the drivers side wing and the pick head mounted on the bonnet alongside the spare tyre keeping my passenger wing top open for roof rack access.

I decided a hardwood steel tipped handle could be too much of a temptation of anyone prone to bash windows or body panels so mount my pick handle inside my truck.

you know.. that was the only NEG I can think of..

I was just hoping, given a good mount design there might be a way to lock or otherwise secure them..

My shovel lives in the garage while I'm around home and only comes out on trips where I might use it. A shovel of the right shape & size is hard to come by. And it is very handy for getting snow, mud or deep sand moved from under your truck.

I just keep the pick head on the truck. I think there is a very low probability of someone walking away with a pick head without a handle.

I don't have a handy way of locking that stuff down outside your truck.
