Torque specs out there?

I am a novice when it comes to putting a land rover back together, taking it apart was easy. Aside from the green bible that seems to lack many torque specs is there a source out there people have used to assemble a 109? Things like diff housings, carb mounting, exhaust manifold, ect... i cant seem to find any numbers. Or is there a general rule of thumb on how much torque to apply to most parts? I seem to remember coming across a website with a bunch of torque listings but no clue where.

Just use the generic torque values for the size and type bolt you are tightening. Google "torque specifications". Here's one site that has this info, for example:

The factory manual only list torque specs that the factory engineers deem to be important. But there are standards commonly used for different bolts.

And I have a page where I collected torque and tune up specs from the factory manuals and put them together in a handy location. I got tired of browsing through both volumes of the workshop manual plus the owners handbook to find a spec that I needed at the time.

Then one of these days you truck might get assembled and on the road. Many people don't have the owner's handbook where the factory maintenance items and intervals are given. I feel that regular ongoing maintenance per factory recommendations is key to keeping a Series truck alive and reliable. So I copied them down in a web page for easy access:

I just checked out Terri's link and realized I was halfway through the 4,000 mile check without getting out of my seat! So it makes me wonder if there are diesel specific items in the 4k range. Glowplugs? injector line torques?
