View Full Version : S3 without Voltage Stabiliser?

While out driving today I lost my Temp and Fuel gauges. When I got home I pulled the instrument panel and I noticed that I do not have a voltage stabiliser on my truck. I have 11 volts at the fuse panel.

I have a green wire coming off of the fuse panel going to the gauges and it has 3 connectors crimped on, 2 supply power to the fuel and instrument guage and 1 is hanging free.

The wire is not spliced and it looks original. My truck is an exMod if that matters.

I thought that the gauges were supposed to be fed 10.5 volts.

Thanks,

Rick

Rick-
My SIII Lightweight didn't have a voltage stabilizer either.

Jac04,

Thanks for the information. I checked the fuses tonight and all are fine.

Any ideas why I would lose power to my temp and fuel gauge? I will check for a short. It will go out intermittently.

Check connections at the switch.
