Leaf spring question

Im rebuilding my leaf springs and finally got the clamps bent back so I can disassemble them. I noticed that the 3 largest leaves won't come apart. Is that the way its supposed to be, the top 3 are "bonded" to the stud? Just want to make sure before I start painting. Thanks!

They will come apart. Keep trying & be careful.
