Hi,

Finally got the time to tinker with this 2.5 Diesel NA that has been sitting in the garage for 4 months.

I would like to know if someone could send me some pictures of the fuel system setup, what connects where etc... As well as the vacuum system setup.

Thank you.

Frederic

If nobody has posted the fuel system plumbing by then, I'll post it later today.

The vacuum is easy--One hose from the vacuum pump to the brake servo. That's it.

Thanks Mark,
That would be great.
My engine came without any fuel fittings, so don't know if they are banjo or otherwise.

Thanks again

Frederic

Your photo helps tremendously in explaining this.

The fuel feed line from the tank goes to "B" in your photo.

It goes out of the pump at "C" in your photo to "C" on the filter assembly in my photo, below.

Out of the filter at my "D" to your "D"

Excess fuel exits the fuel pump at your "E" back to the filter check-valve at my "E".

Excess fuel to the injector spill rail NORMALLY goes from your "A" to my "A" then returns to the fuel tank. My "A" is supposed to have a banjo fitting with 2 ports--One where the line from the spill rail goes in and on the opposite side, an outlet back to the fuel tank.

I couldn't find that kind of banjo fitting years ago, so I just plugged that hole in the filter housing with a stubby metric bolt and a copper washer and ran a line directly from the injector spill rail to the fuel return on the fuel tank.

Hope this helps.
