Has anyboby installed this on the engine side of the bulkhead ? Or any other ideas for insulating the bulkhead ?

It's just dynamat.
I would use that on the rear wheel arches, seatbox, and door skins...
Dynamat is not a noise killer, works best on vibration..
Personally, I am looking into a thicker more dense matting system.. Almost like a hood liner to face the engine side of the bulkhead and bottom of the bonnet. This in theory will trap, absorb, and otherwise kill the decibel value...1971 SIIa 88" NAS Dauntles V6

Didn't someone post a link to a test of stuff that a guy used that is more of a heat barrier but also reduces noise? Seemed like it was lighter and better than dynamat if I remember correctly.
But as recent posts show - I don't always remember correctly!

A buddy of mine used roofing sticky paper on his WV thing, the kind of stuff that reseals its self when you nail into it. Anyway he is a science nerd and looked up what dynamat was made out of and apparently the roof stuff is almost the same. You can get it at home depot for cheap too. I think im going to try it out on the 109 once i get back on island. I have a roll leftover from a job I worked on.1970 Series IIA 109 EX-MOD

If it's just to reduce heat in the cab, you might try a heat shield. I bought some galvanized steel sheet from Home Depot several years back, cut it to fit the engine side of the bulkhead and footwells, and mounted it with 1/2" standoffs using existing holes in the bulkhead. I hammered over the edges to make sure I wouldn't get cut fooling around in there later. The bottom edge folds back into the transmission tunnel a few inches. It doesn't reduce noise at all, but the heat relief is amazing. Best of all, it doesn't trap water.Comment

Fat Mat
I use Fat Mat and it works extremely well. Some of you may have seen it at the winter romp. The stuff is easy to install when cold, a torch or heat gun will set it into place. A few rovers up for sale on e-bay have been done over with fat mat as well. Works well for heat as well as noise.
I can send you a sample of the stuff if you want. I don't sell it , just have lots left over.
