I checked my front swivel housings and they were empty, so I put 80W 90 in, and I figured that I should change the axle oil while I was there. I drove around the block and the axle started clicking with the same speed as the road wheels. It only happens after I drive about a mile or two (pretty much after the oil is warmed up) I am guessing that it is a U joint or pinion gear but am confused why it would start when I added new oil in? Any ideas?
