    just posted this am.

I don't have the spare cash for this right now or else I'd be all over it. This is a little southeast of raleigh, nc. I'd be willing to help anyone with pick up and shipping if needed.

    er What?

Just to be clear... A winch can pull you out of a mud hole.... a wench serves beer and is the last thing you call the wife before she breaks your nose....
Whence came you my brother ? From the East....

      Which Wench?

Is Wench a Southern thing ?

I always thought a Winch was #1 below, but a wench was #2

          Just to be clear....

I didn't spell that, I quoted it from craigslist. Thought it would def get some attention. And yeah, spelling and grammar, not strong points of the local craigslist!

I don't think it's just a "Southern" thing. I see "Warren Wench" on CL up here a lot. (and Warn is(once upon a time) a local company here)

No worries, Jim. We know you didn't miss spell it, I clicked on the ad.
I hope I didn't offend any of our Southern friends either, It's just that I see that 'wench' thing alot down south. Come to think of it, I guess I've seen Warn refered to as Warren before too. I wonder if that prom dress was for the Senior prom. Guess spelling wasn't her strong suit either.

Nah definitely not. The local paper "The Daily Star" used to ALWAYS list a winch as a wench. I don't know if it was an inside joke or ignorance but every ad I remember reading in there for 15-20 years listed "XXX Truck with wench"...

It is almost as bad as "Cummings diesel"...
