I was at a local mans house who's father owned several land rovers, one of them which is a Range Rover 2 door that he had shipped in the late 1980's from South America I do not know all of the details, not yet at least, but his intensions were to completely redo it, it is nearly complete, the paint was redone and seemed to be done very meticulous the motor as well. I do not know the exact year, milage ect. He has the back of it completely full of unopened Land Rover parts that were to be put on the vehicle, but never were. Not sure what are in all of the boxes, I am assuming mainly interior parts. It has a factory air conditioner but never came with a heater supposedly since it came from South America. I do not have any pictures, but this mans father has passed away and he and his mother are looking to sell the vehicle. Any idea how much a very solid and nearly complete 2 door range rover classic may be worth?

Any ideas/suggestions/thoughts would be great.

Thanks.

I would say a REALLY clean 2 door already in the US COULD, not would or will, fetch 8 or more finished and driving, so it depends on how complete it is, how much work it needs etc... If it had a tdi in it, I would think you could get a good bit more... You have to consider what state it's in, how much work you want to put in and how much that work is worth to you.

Without pix this is as good a question as " how long is a peice of string".
A VIN with some pix would be a real boon.
Our hosts get enquiries for folks looking to buy a solid 2 door Range Rover.

In short, more data is required.

Please post a reply as soon as you can.

I will talk to the owner and see when I could get the vin number and some photos and will post them when I do. The vehicle is stored in a garage in Wisconsin.

I would be very surprised if it does not have a factory heater/blower unit in it. The heater core is necessary if you want to defrost/defog.
I have a friend who brought his Middle Eastern spec Rangie in from Saudi Arabia, and it has a heater. It has a carbed 3.5, as I suspect the one you're looking at also has. The only diesel back then was the VM and you may as well throw that one in the river.
