wire routing for mechanical brake light switch

1969 IIa 88" RHD - I have the mechanical brake light switch, located in the footwell. I have the correct wires connected and right now they just come from the dash and are dropping into the footwell through the hole for the demister hose.

What is the proper route for the 2 wires that connect to the switch? Pictures would be great.
