    Won't Start

Pulled engine to shut off leaks/check rear seal. Crossed dissy leads to coil. Now won't start - cranks all right. Could I have fried the petronix or the coil? Something else I'm missing? Dammit!! Want to drive not drivel!.

    Thanks, Art

Sounds like you may have fried the pertronix...did this myself. Mine was obvious from the burn marks on the module. Could also be a million other things. Does the module appear damaged?

I haven't pulled the dissy cap yet - I was hoping for something else, something quicker to fix. I'll pull it tomorrow.

Pulled dissy cap, no apparent damage to petronix unit. There is a ballast resistor next to coil (?).Will do a 'spark check' on the coil today.
