    new ride

here's a few photos of the new ride, 71 exmod. I tried the full soft top first did't relly like that so I installed the PU top. Think I like this set up. Don't think I will be using the full canvas.

Awesome 109! Got a question, when you switched over to the PU top from canvas, did you have to drill out the rivets for the windscreen top piece that the canvas hooks to? Also if your looking to get rid of that top, i know a newly restored (almost) 109 that would like a new one very much mine had a mouse attack!

I did remove the front piece that the canvas attaches to on top of the windscreen. The rivets did need to be drilled out.

                  Les,
yes I did thanks!! Until I put the top in place I was a little confused on where they went. Obviously there were never any on there before, I had to drill holes in rail to install them.

Short list of things to do; Need to look into the steering its jumpy and stiff, brakes need adjusting, check top off fluids, fix pretty good oil leak that appears to be just a filter canister issue. List will probably double after I drive it another 20 miles.

                  BTW it passed inspection today

Nice!!! A 109" with a truck cab is always my favourite.
You know.... there are enough 109" exMOD's on here we should have a gathering somewhere or at least start a thread for photo's of our trucks

Very nice! Like the arctic heater intake on the wing.

I have a 109 and sometimes I drive with the p-up top and sometimes with the full canvas but rolled up whenever I can.

I too dig the looks of an exMoD 109.

what I understand for the history of this truck is that it was originally an ambulance, imported by RN and converted to something like it is now.
I think I have the paperwork showing when But I don't recall. It had one owner before me after leaving RN.
