running a 82 degree thermo in the summer???

Hello,
Have been taking out the thermostat in the spring and installing it again in the fall do I need to run a cooler thermo in the summer or is the 82 fine??

Don't know if it helps, but I run 88C all year round. My capillary temp gauge sits right at 88C indicated, year round too...

I run a 192F stat all year round as well. Your cooling system has to be up to snuff or it won't cool properly, regardless of thermostat.:thumb-up:

82 deg. will be fine in the summer, or any time of the year for that matter. I'd be more concerned about removing the t-stat. Running too cool isn't good for it either.
