    Roof off tomorrow....

    Hello all,

Roof coming off tomorrow to do my panel swap!

It occured to me.....should be all nuts and bolts, but what about the wiring to the interior roof dome lamp? Where does this disconnect? I don't want to be yanking on the roof and rip the wire out or have it get in the way!

    Regards,
    Julian

Just trace the wire down from the lamp. Mine was run up the middle of the windshield frame with a bullet connector at the top to facilitate removal.

I'll add a "mine too" also!!!!

              Made me think.....

I have small box speakers that fit perfectly in the top back corners of the roof that were hooked up by wiring taped temporarily in place behind the seat benches. I also will have heated rear glass in my rear door when done with my project.

So, I think I will run the speaker wires and the power to the rear glass in the same manner as the dome light ---through the center of the windscreen and with disconnects like the bullet disconnect in the same place!

Mine has the bullet connector as others do, but I also have a second wire that was run in the same manner that has the bullet connector terminating just above the windscreen. Don't know what the prior owner used it for, but I figure it will be just about perfect for my rear work light when I get around to installing one.

Just make sure you leave a little extra wire at the bottom of the windshield, so if you want to fold it down, you won't have to cut the wire.
