Hello all,

Going to post this on the GNR board too.....hopefully someone has the answer.

Perusing ebay UK this morning, and came across this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAND-ROVER-SERIES-2A-3-BONNET-LOCKING-KIT-NEW-GENUINE-/140591449583?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20bbe745ef

I remembered the round piece (and possibly the hasp) as being in my "unknown" bin of parts that I went through this past weekend. Sure enough I found at least the round piece, and I think I have the hasp.

Would like to install this genuine bonnet locking kit that I appear to have on my S3. I will be removing wings/bonnet this weekend in prep for paint, so hopefully someone can identify WHERE it mounts correctly, so I can drill holes before removing those panels!

Pics would be fantastic if someone has them!

Cheers,
Julian

Mine is mounted to the right of the grill. Don't know if that is proper, but it was there when I bought it.

Make sure it is the hood lock and not the lock for the seatbox. I believe the hasp is a different length on each.

Sorry to Hyjack the post but what kind of winch you have on your rig galen216?? I would like to find one like that to convert it to hydraulics instead of electric...

One of the POs installed this, but on the locker built into the back wheel well of the 109. It's broken. Snapped right off. Just curious if they're that fragile...

i was going to say the same thing! serious business that winch.

julian, on my '79 SIII 109 SW, the hasp and latch was mounted in the same place as galen's... but on the opposite side.
