Hello all,
I should have taken pics of this, but does anyone have pics of the decals that belong on both the heater motor and heater distrib box on a Series III (I have a 72)?
Any help would be appreciated. Any tips on where to get them also (RN does not have them)?? I was going to look at British Wiring with a small order I need to place with them.
Cheers,
Julian
Julian:
I've got 'em both, but can't get photos to you until next week. Gotta go to the British Invasion.

Not sure I have one on the heat distribution box (inside the cab, below the dash?).

There are some close ones here on this pdf (http://xksjaguar.com/jaguar/eType_catalog/pdf/Decals.pdf), though the code #s are slightly different (Jaguar). Only true rivet counters would know.
Same here (http://www.terrysjag.com/product/Decals_and_Emblems/1142.html).

Thanks Mark and Ted,
Will order the decal you noted Mark (Brit Wiring has it also I think).
I think the heater distribution box (where the heater core is on the bulkhead in the engine compartment kind of behind the oil bath) has a sticker. I am going to try to see if I can see in the small pic on the dealer brochure I have (for my 1972 S3!!).
If anyone can confirm with a pic, please post!

I will look at mine 1973 this morning and if there is a picture that helps will post it probably tomorrow. It is the original heater in good shape and i honestly don't recall any decal. But then I wasn't looking for it.

I sent you an e-mail. My heater has a metal plate not a decal on the lower front of the heater box (hidden by the Air Cleaner and the Fresh Air hose from the side panel vent.

OK, Whats up with the rotation arrows?

OK, Whats up with the rotation arrows?
Just to the left of the sticker there's a port on the motor housing (not visible in pic). Inside that port is a spade connector. They're barely visible, but next to the top arrow is a "+" and next to the bottom arrow is a "-". Connecting the power wire there causes the fan to rotate in one direction. Connecting the ground there causes it to rotate the other direction. This accomodates both left-hand and right-hand heater setups (they rotate in different directions using different blower wheels, depending on which side of the truck it is mounted to).
