Hello all,
I have a 1974 Series III 88" that I bought a few months ago (first rover). It has already had the suspension swapped over to parabolics some time ago by the previous owners. I have no idea what brand they are or where they are from. the shocks are old man emu. It's sagging about 2" on the left hand side at the back. I don't know much about these yet (though I hope to learn as my to do list seems to get longer every day) so I don't know why it's sagging so much. I've attached some pictures of the left hand side rear suspension so everyone can see what's there, but they look all right and match what's on the right side. I do have a trop top and I've read that I should have 3 springs, not 2, but would that make it sag so much?

I have a s3 and installed parabolics. The photos you shoe are hard to interpret but itnlooks likemthe spring is flat doesn't make sense. Probably just perspective. Otherwise try loosening the mounting bolts and weighting each corner while you retighten. (a couple of adults on each corner). You may just have a broken spring but also possible they were not installed properly as my RM paras needed to be weighted and tightened.

Those do look pretty flat, you got a cord of wood in there? My truck had the sag to the left as well, I swapped the rear springs sides and it was better, but it could have also been the original mounting as artpeck says, I'd try loosening the bolts as he says.

You can try swapping them to even the car. Sometimes works, sometimes not. I have "the sag" on my 88 as well. Some brands have poor control of the spring resistance after production and they just wear that way. cheers.

My 2 Leaf RM parabolics sagged out on me. Wiseowl does admit that the 2 leaf fronts are known to sag, not sure what they would say about 2 leaf rears. I took my sagging 2 leaf fronts and some information from wiseowl to a spring repair place and had them replace the worn lower leaf. The ride is real nice now and for 75$ (versus 20$ to rearch) a side I was quite happy with the results. One thing they said right away was that the springs were obviously damaged. They were able to tell without looking at any specs just by noting the twist at the bushing. If they were not damaged then 20$ to rearch them was pretty economical.

Sounds like I should find a shop that works on springs around here. Anyone know a good shop in the Charlotte NC area?

Thanks for the replies
