SERIES 3 DOOR HINGE PLACEMENT

Hello all,

Been busy reassembling the Rover....pics will come on Monday of where I am.

Want to put the doors back on today.

Series 3 hinges.....can you identify where each goes (which side, and top or bottom hinge).

The hinge numbers are (on the larger part of the hinge/door side not bulkhead side):

347365
347364

these nimbers do not match the ones in my SIII parts manual.
The manual has
347362 as RH
347363 as RH

Defender hinges?

Here is what I could find for the SIII:
MXC8284 = RH Top with Defender style mirror mounting holes
MXC8285 = LH Top with Defender style mirror mounting holes

MXC8282 = 347362 = RH Upper & Lower (no mirror mounting holes)
MXC8283 = 347363 = LH Upper & Lower (no mirror mounting holes)

I couldn't find any info on part numbers 347365 or 347364.

Assuming your hinges have no holes in them for mirrors like defender style,( your mirrors likley attach behind the hinges). Hinges are only side specific not top and bottom specific. They taper on the bulkhead side from narrow at the top to wider at the bottom.

To clarify.....these hinges are the ones from my truck that also match a spare pair.

ALL NUMBERS:

DOOR SIDE (LARGE HALF OF HINGE) / BULKHEAD SIDE (SMALL HALF OF HINGE)

347365 / 347367
347364 / 347366

Of course, 2 sets of each.

Since they are only sold as a hinge assembly, the part numbers you list don't appear in the parts listing. Just install them based on the descriptions above.
