I have the dupont and Glasturit codes but the paint shop cannot find these in his reference to cross to PPG.
Rejeep, did you use poppy red or masi red? I'm pretty sure my 69 bugeye would have been poppy red. Yea I can wait will be next week now.

still no luck on getting a PPG paint code for poppy red. Anyone know the answer. I took the dupont code to the paint store bt they did not have a cross reference.

went to the PPG store today. I had them try to cross reference a poppy red for a 1969 series land rover. Nothing came up, just limestone, blue, bronze green, maybe another, no reds at all. I then asked them to check older years for poppy red. It came up for vehicles up to 1968. Interesting, my vehicle is a 1969 and was definitly red.

I have a red 1973 88 and the build sheet reads simply "Red." There is also the word "RED" still after nearly 40 years crayoned onto the frame in the left front wheel well (see attached). Poppy? Masai? Don't know...

I used the "poppy red" paint code for the 68 and older models.
Why no red code for a 69? Same as on other references I've seen.
