What plugs should I be using. I no longer have a generator just a 24 volt alternator if that makes a difference. Thanks

12 volt, 24 volt..... the coil will bring the spark up to 30-50,000 volts. Spark plugs should be the same. I have seen some people marketing 24 special plugs but those are usually shielded and have a special attachment to the wires so as to be waterproof and electrically shielded. If you have normal wires , you can have normal plugs.

Depends, if you still have the military setup, they use different spark plugs.

Im not really sure if I still have the military set up. It is and exmod and has a 24 volt distributer, coil, coil filter and starter. The generator has been removed and replaced with a 24 volt alternator. It is not currently the military plugs like the ones the ebay listing shows. It is running champion N11YC plugs and I can seem to find anything saying these are the rite plugs for any land rover. What should I be looking for to know if I still have a military set up?

It looks like someone has skillfully modified the plug end of your wires to slip over a standard plug, instead of threading onto a fully shielded plug. This being the case, just keep running the same plugs you're currently using.

After seeing the pic, i'm sure It's been modified, so just keep on using standard 2,25 spark plugs. By the way, the military distributer is a real quality item. :thumb-up:

This is how mine looked like when I took it of, and fitted a standard setup.
