While going through the rover I noticed the oil bath was empty. Upon closer inspection I notice the po has attempted to seal some small rust holes with silicon unsuccessfully. I can't find a replacement part so I'm hoping to find something I can seal the holes with that would not deteriorate in oil. Any thoughts.

X2 on the JB Weld used it on mine years ago still good. You MUST get ALL the oil off for it to work.

I used PC-7 epoxy on the bottom of the air cleaner on the 63 that I restored. That was back in 1991. It was just fine when I sold it about 15 years later.

Replace with cone air filter. Now when you gotta clean the air filter, its a simplier job that can be done in the sink at the house WITHOUT upsetting others :thumb-up:

Probably helps some with power but who knows. Just the convenience is worth it.
