WOW, I can't believe this rally has been going on for a few years and I didn't know about it! Shame on me, I live in Hamden CT so this is almost my back yard. I'd like to bring my 73 series 3 if its warm enough (no top on that one) and my 68 Unimog 404 troop carrier if that's ok? Are non-rovers allowed? I read a post from Jim a few years back that he also has a Rover and Mog so how great to meet some other guys like me. Anyway, I hope that's ok I'm really excited about coming and meeting all of you. Since I graduated college and moved to CT in 07 I've been looking to meet people with similar interest in the area so I can't wait.

Regards,
Braden

If you're taking the ferry into new london I can meet you there, or there are some fellows from western CT that usually come down saturday morning.

LRover73, non rovers are welcome, you'll be able to take the mog on some harder trails.

Cedryck do you have any parts you are looking for in particular?

I would like to leave Mystic around 8-8:30 to get there by 9-9:30 with plenty of time for stops in case anything goes wrong, we could meet up in the East Lyme area where 395 and 95 intersect. I fly home the monday before so hopefully I can get one of my rigs up and going in time. Shoot me a call or text as the date nears 860-271-38seveneight

Also if anyone has a decent set of mud tires they are looking to sell, shoot me a pm, thanks!

Yes, in the way of parts, I am looking for some rear MOD bumperettes. And any other military specific lightins, (the spinn off and on lights) that the military used on 88. 109's and 110's. I am considering packing up my Volvo wagon with parts I can part with. (pun intended). Cheers mate.

it's not easy getting old. went to deer lake friday, thought it was sat. we did a trail ride and i got stuck in a small puddle, about 1 1/2 deep. forest literally jumped in feet first in leading with the recovery. thanks again forest. with him and a few others we did a partial gods must be crazy scene by winching the front end up a tree to get sand ladders under the tires. out it came with just some small character marks on fender and sills. anyone take any picks? missed saturday thinking it was sunday. thanks again for the event i'll be back again next year . yank, wish i seen you truck

James Visci got some pictures of that event, link is here: http://m413.photobucket.com/albums/sonicdohc/DeerLake2011/?src=www

I went on that same trail and our guide kept telling me a truck just like mine got its sill banged up and I was trying to figure out who it was...
they ended up directing me through the left side of the puddle and I made it through ok, I have a video i'll post up in a few weeks when I return home.

my video is finally edited and up! nothing spectacular was caught on film, but there were some entertaining moments and this video gives a small taste of what this weekend has to offer.
