I have a question for you guys and gals.

I have a 1966 Series IIa 88. It has new master cylinder, new wheel cylinders, and shoes. I have bled the brakes several times with a pneumatic brake bleeder. I have bled the clutch too. But i think its the clutch that needs to be bled again. The deal is sometimes i have really good hard brake pedal and sometimes i don't have hardly anything even if i have pump them several times and then sometimes pump them and they're great. But i think its when i push clutch in there worse. Fluid is new and full too.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Jason

Unless I am mistaken, there are two different systems. Bleed 'em both. Poor clutch will have nothing to do with poor brakes.

Intermittent poor braking with hard pedal is most likely caused by poor adjustment of the shoes, sticking wheel cylinder, master cylinder incorrectly adjusted. It is more likely you have a combination of issues that need to be sorted: those above, contaminated brake pads from oil or other crud, and a leak in the brake lines somewhere.
