For Sale – Springfield, MO - $1850.00 o.b.o.
Slightly Knackered 1988 Range Rover Classic
189,000-plus miles.
Amateur rust repair in the passenger floor board – not a bad job, but I’m not a professional metal worker.
Driver’s floor board is in need of repair
Rear lift gate frame is shot
No rear seat or seat belts
No center console
No carpet or sound deadening material
Tachometer does not function
Driver’s rear window does not function
Missing left front bumper end cap
Sunroof works sporadically
New OME springs and shocks yielding about a 2” lift
New 245/75R16 10ply Mud Terrain Tires
New 16” Series LR Steel Wheels
New Optima Battery
Recent Front End Alignment
Starts and runs good and I would not hesitate to drive the beastie anywhere. I keep an eye on the temp gage; carry extra coolant and extra oil. It smokes a bit on start up but accelerates and runs out well.

Now for the pieste de resistance -
For an Extra $300.00 you can have a non-running 1988 parts truck.
This Rangie was vandalized while stored in a barn away from my house. The windows are broken, the tires were slashed, and a few gouges were made in the rear driver’s quarter panel. The Rover is mechanically complete except for the alternator and I will get some tires so it can be loaded onto a trailer. I have not taken the time to diagnose what might be the problem. I purchased it off e-bay and the former owner said it was driven with no oil.

Rangie no. 1 is an excellent trail rig. You can drive it to the trailhead; lock the center diff., wheel all day long not worrying about scratches or scrapes, and drive home comfortably at the end of the day.

Rangie no. 2 was purchased to keep no.1 on/off the road a little longer.
