Stop leak

While cruising through napa today to pick up my weekly supply of 90wt for my overdrive I looked at all the "stop leaks" for gearboxes / transfer cases. Does any one have any experience using these in an overdrive? I also heard you can use Lucas hub oil along with 90wt to thicken it / slow down the leaks. Any thoughts to slow down the drive train leaks besides new seals and gaskets (coming soon).

My impression of "stop leak" oils is that they also "stop lubricating"
