I have identified a leak coming from the metal fitting on the A/C hose that connects up under the dash on one end and comes to the low-end at the compressor (left hand as one faces the engine from front of car).
Is there any way to cut the hose, have a new section and fitting made, and splice back rather than try to take off most of the dash. The leak is on the compressor end, of course?
