I have a 2.25 and upon starting and idling, it "spits" liquid from the exhaust. It cleans right up with water, but if left, it stains. I assume it is a gas, oil mix. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance !

drive it more. It is most likely water condesation from the muffler.

I agree with Stomper, if all you do is short trips the muffler never 'boils off' the condensation.

That's one of the reasons I have to push my 109 out of the garage before I start it every morning.

When I had a garage (RIP) there was a big black stain on the knee wall. Obviously you're more motivated than I.....

My truck has a LH exit exhaust so everytime I get out to go to the back of the truck I forget and walk by it with shorts my knees end up taking the brunt of it. One of these days it's not going to wash off and it'll just be one more Rover tattoo....(along with the scars and 90wt impregated fingernails)

Not 'motivated'; 'Frightened'.--My wife's car is parked in the other stall, 3 feet away from the end of my spitting and belching tailpipe outlet.

Well atleast she had more than one tooth if you had to specify which one right? Always a silver lining.
