There must be a land rover law of physics that says that one fix causes another gremlin.
I did a simple carburetor repair where I adjusted the float, replace the gasket and replaced the economy device on a standard zenith. All put back together and cranked the engine and it wouldn't fire. Choked it, opened the idle screw. Nothing. Smelled gas so finally tested the spark and there a very weak to no spark.
Before I spend more time under the hood in 100 degree heat can anyone suggest WHY what I did would cause this to happen???
I truly don't believe in coincidence but I guess I could be convinced. Series 3, totally as it came from the factory.
Obiovusly I need to work back through the distributor to the coil but if anyone has ideas on what went down that would be great. Thanks.
