Breather Caps for Snorkel/Rochester model B/Holley model 1904

Any one interested in making a snorkel? The mushroom shaped breather caps can be purchased at http://ford2000tractorparts.com/2000cart/index.cgi?code=3&cat=3 for $10.17 or at http://secure.ssbtractor.com/cgi-bin/quikstore.cgi?category=Ford_Tractor_Parts&keywords=Air%20Cleaner%20Assembly&and=1. It's only $18.76 for 2 1/4" diameter. They (SSBtractor) have oilbath aircleaners with inlet pipes also.

Anyone have any experience with the Holley 1904 carb? Autozone sells them and reman. Rochesters for around $130-$140 online.

Anyone have a good ideas or a good source for piping in a remote filter or snorkel? Something cheap but long lasting.

Mine is flawed. I'm using coolant pipes to connect the carb to my PVC piping and then to the filter. The flaw is that it looks like a kindergarten homework assignment and that the coolant pipe tends to buckle if the engine compartment gets real warm.
