I recently pulled the rusty old bent bull bar off of my SIII and sold it on ebay, hoping to find a suitable replacement that more closely resembles the rectangular brush guards found on many defenders. However, I haven't found any great aftermarket brush guards readily available.

Where does one look for a brush guard for a SIII? I have a new bumper, and am looking for the type that is welded/bolted on the existing SIII bumper...

Thanks Les - that's very similar to the one I took off. I'm really looking for something more like what is on this D90

IIRC, the Defender factory wrap-around brush guard will fit a Series bumper. Maybe Les can confirm and advise of availability.

Otherwise, that trophy bar is awesome and IMO is the best looking brush bar on a Series vehicle.

I'm running the Defender bar on my Series III 109. It's a snap to bolt on. This is my avitar pic. 7116'95 R.R.C. Lwb

Are any of the ARB winch bumpers series compatible?

That's the look I'm going for! Where do you find one of those in the southeastern US?

I believe the Defender ones are, Max has one and speaks highly of its "ford ranger punting" abilities.

I do agree that the trophy bars look best on a series, but $800 for just the bar is pretty steep IMO.
I had a wrap around style bar on my stage 1 for a few years, and it just never looked "right".

The Wrap around Brush Bar (#STC50270) has been unavailable new for a few years.
Finding a good used on could be difficult, as folk tend to hang on to them.

We just got a Camel Trophy bar returned to us with some slightly damaged areas. It will be put in clearance at a discount if you're interested. There are a couple of issues with it, here are the photos of the problem areas.

The price is set at $633.99. It is unused otherwise.

Once rust is in, there is no cure

Wire brush, sand blast, coat with POR15 or Waxoyl and hope for the best

Those would look so much better galvanized anyway...
