OK, I'm on the verge of dismantling Daisey. I'm guessing there is some sort of general sequence of events that will save me some future headaches. Anyone have any suggestions or insight before the wrenchs fly?

Here are a bunch of pictures of my tear-down and reassembly:
It's pretty basic. Remove the body piece by piece. Next remove the bulkhead and radiator support. Then remove the engine & transmission/x-fer case. Next remove the axles from under the chassis. Reverse for assembly.
I took a little detour and lopped the back half of the chassis off after the body was removed. This gave me more room to work. -
This is what I have to look forward to...awesome! My existing frame is pretty decent so I can't lope it off for room but I like the idea! The truck looks great, nice job. Thanks for the post.
ps...I dig the Charlie's Angels poster in the back groundComment

Here's what I did:
Don't take notes or pictures before you start and whatever you do, do NOT label the wiring harness!
I did the swap by myself. It's not bad - basically a big Lego set. Buy new hardware before you start (lotsa 1/4 and 5/16 stuff) because if you're lucky, the rusty bolts will twist off.© 1974 Apis Mellifera. Few rights preserved.Comment

Step 1: pay no attention to the current cinfiguration, check
Step 2: do not label anything, check
Step 3: break bolts and knuckles, check
Think I'm good to go!
That was one handsome frame you had! My existing frame is actually in pretty decent shape, definatly salvagable. Not sure if I will repair it to sell or perhaps save it for a future project. Thanks for posting.Comment
