Recent posts suggested dynamat, interior carpets and some other stuff (which I didn't quite get). Well, I've thought about using torch down roofing on the underside of the firewall, floor boards and wherever else that wouldn't warp from the heat.

What do you folks think of that and what have you tried that worked well?

Also, any ideas for heat protection from the exhaust and engine?

Cheers,
Tim

To insulate my ser1, I glued in 1" blue styro and covered it in gray vinyl. I glued the foam and vinyl on with LePage PL ?000. The stuff that is compatible with foam and comes in a blue tube. I did this for the entire top, sides and doors. The back and the floor is line with H/D rubber backed commercial floor runner. It has made it much quieter and retains needed warmth in winter. Cheap and simple and has not come apart yet with a year's worth of bashing about in the boonies.
