My second favorite rally of the year (next to winter romp) is a go for this year. The Deer Lake Rally in Killingworth CT is a primarily off road event hosted by Forrest Clifton and has something for everyone. Trails from mild to wild and a parts swap. If off roading isn't your thing, bring your rover down and hop in one of the many other trucks in attendance. The dates this year are November 23-25, the weekend after thanksgiving, and what better way to burn off the turkey than by navigating your rover through obstacles without power steering? the information is the same as the previous years and a detailed write up can be found in this thread from a previous year:http://forums.roversnorth.com/showthread.php?7743-Deer-Lake-Rally&highlight=deer%20lake

I will be home from school and looking to hit the trails and it would be awesome to see some familiar faces from this board come down. My dad and I will be heading up friday and spending the night and cooking copious amounts of bacon and other deliciousness saturday morning. If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me personally.

my pictures from last year: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150376542531886.341468.646291885&type=1&l=a40df8268f

hope to see many of you there!

Also, can I post this up to other forums to get the word out? What is the cost and is there a schedule?

a donation of $20 is suggested to cover trail maintenance and repair. As for schedule, this is a laid back event, but loosely follows the schedule outlined in the thread from 2009:
"SCHEDULE:
FRIDAY- Noon -Trail leader meeting/ swap meet set up
2:00 -Trail runs easy, moderate, advanced
6:00 -Dinner, a stove, oven, and grill will be available to cook with.
6:30 -Fire
later -Trail runs or trips into town.

SATURDAY- 10:00 -Everyone meet up/ trail leader meeting/swap meet set up
10:30 -Trail runs easy, moderate, advanced
Noon -Lunch, grill and kitchen are available to cook
1:00 -Trail runs
6:00 -Dinner, a stove, oven, and grill will be available to cook with.
6:30 -Fire
later -Trail runs or trips into town.

SUNDAY- 10:00 -Everyone meet up/ trail leader meeting/swap meet set up
10:30 -Trail runs easy, moderate, advanced
Noon -Lunch, grill and kitchen are available to cook
1:00 -Trail runs
Later -Any help cleaning up is greatly appreciated."

feel free to spread the word! It is a land rover centered event, but it is open to other makes and models as well.

Don't know how much you know about Ipswich but my aunt and uncle owns this restaurant there called the Hart House, we go there for thanksgiving.

I am gonna place an order tonight or tommorow, its nothing big, but i wouldnt mind delivery to the event!
the biggest stuff will be a lower rear door seal and wiper blades for a series, let me know how i get you to deliver.

ThePhotographer

Just shoot the sales team an email at Sales@Roversnorth.com and tell them you'd like to have it delivered by me and they'll pack it up for me to bring down! Size shouldn't be an issue, I'll be coming down in my DII and have a full rack on it.

Cheers,
Zack G
