Just bought a (used, of course) apron panel for my '71 Series 2a 88, along
with the OEM "Z" brackets (2) for mounting the back of the apron panel to the
underside of the grill panel. No problem there.

QUESTION: What goes into the two small holes at the front leading edge
of the apron panel? Do the front (left and right) leading edges BOLT onto the
top of the front chassis arms? Or is there a rubber grommet that inserts into
each of these two small holes? Help!

Would a member-Series-owner care to take a photo of their OEM mounting system and share it
with me? Or provide me with their input? (As you know, it's fun being the only Series owner in town,
until you need to inspect other vehicles!)

Thanks for any and all input!

Those get the ubiquitous #6 slotted head screws with washers. There are also two rubber buffers on each side. I drove around for years with no fasteners in this part at all except for those rubber things and it never was problematic.

Thanks. Sorry for the delayed expression of appreciation!
Having trouble using my wife's I-Pad! Small keyboard!

My question originated from my inspection of the spots
where the front of the radiator apron panel came
in contact with the chassis. There are no holes on the top of the
chassis arms which would align with the front two holes in my apron panel!

I suspect the chassis attachment holes are covered/filled with years of
crud/rust/manure, and all else that would come in
contact with a farm vehicle!

Thanks again.
